The target's digits add up to today's day-of-month — that's the daily constraint. Every guess you make must also have that digit sum.
After each guess, the bar on the left of the row tells you how close you are:
The 4 dots on the right of the row count how many of your guess's digits appear in the target (any position). All 4 dots filled means every digit is in there — somewhere.
The system narrows down possible answers using your overlap counts. For digits you've typed:
IN — provably in the target (every remaining candidate contains it).
PLAUSIBLE — still in play; can't yet prove either way.
OUT — provably not in the target.
Untyped digits stay neutral.
